How’s it going folks? My name is Will “Akuna” Robinson (he/him).  I was born in Germany while my family was stationed there while my father served in the Army. My American home will always be here in Southeastern Louisiana. Years of dealing with PTSD from military service and depression lead me to the outdoor community. My first hike was an attempt to thru- hike the Pacific Crest Trail in April 2016. An injury kept me from completing the trail that year, but the time I spent in nature helped me more than I can express worth words. Since that first year I have gone on to complete the Pacific Crest Trail (2017), Appalachian Trail (2018), and the Continental Divide Trail (2019) becoming the first black male to complete the Triple Crown of Hiking. Along the way, my journey became a mission not just for myself to heal but to share the healing power of nature with veterans, people of color and everyone who does not fit the stereotype of an outdoorsy person.
